National Education Manager - Redken, 5th Avenue NYC
Mark Thompson is the National Education Manager for Redken 5th Ave NYC. Previously Mark was the Artistic and Events manager for L’Oréal Professional Products division. Having worked on nearly every major fashion event in Australia, Mark offers a wealth of knowledge in the fashion industry. At the pulse of fashion backstage, Mark sees firsthand the key trends before they happen. Leading teams at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Perth Fashion Festival, Rosemont Australian Fashion Week, he has worked with many emerging and established Australian designers. Internationally, Mark has worked the London shows, collaborating with teams for Preen and in Paris on the Cacharel Shows.
Mark also works on a multitude of locally produced editorial work, creating looks for acclaimed fashion identities including Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Hawkins, Jess Hart and Doutzen Kroes. He has also directed shows for talented Australian designers including Nicola Finetti, Anna Thomas, Camilla and marc, Alpha 60, Arnsdorf and Frisoni Finetti just to name a few.

A: How much hard work, passion and perseverance it takes to make it look like “you’re so lucky”.
The Hair presentation informs students about the role of Hair Directors and hair teams in the preparation of a runway show. Topics include the creative process of developing a look, how hair teams are composed and managed during a runway show and personal anecdotes from an extensive career.
