Introduction to Runway Production
Description
Enrolments for the 2015 course are currently closed.
Over 3 interactive days, attendees will hear first-hand from leading Australian and international industry figures about:
- The different roles in the fashion event industry and their respective responsibilities in creating a runway show. This will include in-depth sessions about:
- Styling
- Production
- Model casting
- Set design
- Hair and make up
- Show lighting and music
- Backstage management
- Collection management
- Fashion PR
- How to enter and gain employment in the industry, including personal anecdotes and advice from guest speakers
- How a runway show comes together, from initial collection ideas to show day.
NB: These topics are subject to change and are to be used as a guide only.
One graduate from the October short course will have the opportunity to intern with Special Events and Runway Production Company Event Gallery for the 2016 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
The course will also offer rare interactive opportunities with industry experts, including Q & A panels and several hands-on workshops.
